Remember Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 500 days of summer and his delightful kindred spirit co-star Zooey Deschanel? (See the Bank Dance if you don't believe me). Anyway, she's starring in a sitcom this fall called New Girl where "after a bad break-up, Jess, a quirky young woman, moves into an apartment loft with three single men"... I've only seen the pilot so far, but I think I like the quirkiness?

So yeah, the three guys: (1) total bro wannabe and puts money into the douchebag-jar quite frequently (2) coach who is a personal trainer with anger issues (3) the dude who can't get over his girlfriend that dumped him six months ago

eh, debatable appeal, but add zooey deschanel into the mix and it's just kinda charming?

So with lines like the following:
  • Waitress: You're all on a date?
  • Nick: Yeah, we're her boyfriends. We're reverse Mormons -- one guy just isn't enough for her.
Yeah, I couldn't decide if I wanted to put them all on a ship and set them afloat or have them stay platonic roomie besties forever... I do so like the idea of girls and boys just being quirky friends that room together... ugh, that sounds fucking trite but I have warm fuzzy feelings so... Um, on to episode two?

ETA: eh... actually, the show is totally not worth watching... but the pilot was cute?
